This short film is about forgiveness and unconditional love conquering hate. Many of us transgender people have suffered from hate. Hate from not only our families but from society. All we want is to be loved as the beautiful people we are. Freedom to be who we are.

In this film Mary is thrown out of her home because she is transgender and ends up on the streets prostituting because for many transwomen, that's all we know when we are homeless and hungry.

So Mary eventually turns to drugs to numb her pain - pain of her mother's rejection - pain of her life.  Upon her death she reflects back on her mother's hateful words and the disgust she feels for having to sleep with countless men to survive. She hasn't seen her mother since she was thrown out so she has no ideal that her mother has passed, so she is surprised to see her and shocked that in her mother's death she was able to overcome her hate.  Their reunion is one of pure love.  They head on to the next realm together, mother and child reunited.
