I am a transman (pre-t) interviewing a heterosexual cis-gendered couple. I am asking them questions that are VERY COMPLICATED when you are queer, but when you are straight the answers are quick and empty. The reason is that our culture largely supports heterosexuals, and as a queer there is guilt, shame and confusion that surrounds the same issues of love and relationship. As a straight male I do identify with this couple, but the fact that I am often perceived as someone who is in a homosexual relationship affects my entire life and the ease of it. I honor and respect my interviewees and they were brave to be on camera, I thank them for their willingness.
