18 year old Xavier has over 100 scars on his body from repeatedly cutting himself. While he admits the cutting hurt, he says it was a pain that he could deal with. After two suicide attempts, he started transitioning in grade 12. Now he describes himself as a "role model for other transgender people. So they know you can get through it and you can get to where you want".
