I think that right now is the perfect time to use the media's coverage of the transgender community to start having open and honest conversations with the people around you in your community. Sharing your struggle and your story will hopefully spread an awareness about trans people and make a change. Remember it is hard to hate someone who's story and struggle you know. Let us come together as a community and make a place for ourselves in society. Let us all strive for more!
